Who We Are
Founded in 2010, Moynahan Management Company (MMC) is a retirement plan advisory firm, offering services to employers and employees of qualified retirement plans. As our corporate logo represents, MMC’s function is to make retirement plans grow over time just as a wheat stalk grows over time.
MMC feels that a successful corporate retirement plan needs to be beneficial to the business owner as well as to employees. Business owners, just like employees, want to save for retirement. Many plans are poorly designed, and place limits on what business owners can save for their own retirement. If a business owner becomes discouraged because he or she can not save sufficiently for their own retirement, they are not likely to support the company plan and may even terminate the plan. This type of situation does not help the employees or the business owner.
As employer funded Defined Benefit Plans have largely disappeared, due to the huge costs to employers; more of the burden for saving for retirement and managing retirement accounts has fallen on the employee. As the recent turmoil in financial markets has shown, most employees are ill equipped to successfully manage their retirement accounts, and need professional help.
In addition to helping employers and employees save for tomorrow, MMC is also committed to giving for today. While we are actively involved with working with several charitable and non-profit organizations, we also have a financial giving program. MMC donates 10% of its annual profits to charitable organizations.
